La Vida Kids Club StoryTime is a unique experience. Imagine the important functions of the body brought to life through an amazing blend of science, storytelling, music, and colorful illustrations. Imagine the organs of the body brought to life through the wonder of creativity to explain the important roles they play in our bodies. Imagine children learning about the different systems of the body: cardiovascular, digestive, immune, even the lymphatic system. Not through mundane, boring lectures, but through playful interaction, movement, and song!
And here’s more good news: La Vida Kids Club is FREE. Yes! We welcome the opportunity to present StoryTime with La Vida Kids’ Club to your school or organization at no charge, because the La Vida Foundation is committed to eradicating Childhood Obesity and all its related illnesses. Our mission therefore is to ensure that no child’s potential or life expectancy is cut short by preventable illnesses caused by Childhood Obesity.
The children receive activity coloring books (with crayons) to reinforce what they have learned.
The effect La Vida Kids Club StoryTime has on children is amazing! Imaginative and creative children are fully engaged and riveted. They become excited about the new knowledge they gain on how the body works and finally understand why some choices are better than others for optimum health. It’s not unusual for a wide-eyed Kindergartner to go home after StoryTime and ask for a “tall glass of H20”, or for a fascinated 4th Grader to explain how a lymph node traps bacteria.
Our goal is to give children and their families the most complete, relevant, and useful health information possible in a format that id engaging and fun. Our desired result is to empower children to make informed lifestyle choices using the knowledge and awareness they gain from our story time presentations.
